Characters

||Rose|Heading|||
||female, age 15|SubHeading|||
||played by: Kate Conway|SubHeading|||
Rose considers herself the quiet/shy type. She’s smart, does well in school, stays out of trouble. Her quick wit is reserved for her closest friends – especially Dad. Satisfied with being the wallflower, her fear is that coming out to the rest of the world might end up putting an unwanted spotlight on herself.

||Nathan/Dad|Heading|||
||male, 35-40 years|SubHeading|||
||played by: Will Conlon|SubHeading|||
A widower since Rose’s birth. Nathan works from home as a freelance graphic designer. He’s centered his life around Rose and being the best dad he can be. He’s never really dated or pursued any romantic interests (although he’s recently allowed friends to set him up on dates). Rose’s sexuality has been long suspected, but never confirmed. Her recent turmoil over this issue, and her reluctance to talk about it (contrary to their usual open communication) is tearing him up.

||Vanessa|Heading|||
||female, age 15|SubHeading|||
||played by: Lindsey Middleton|SubHeading|||
Vanessa has been best friends with Rose since they were little. When Rose reveals intimate feelings, Vanessa is really shaken up. Vanessa’s sexuality is unclear – but what is clear is the thought of being gay terrifies her to the point of being outwardly homophobic.

||Kenny|Heading|||
||male, age 15-16|SubHeading|||
||played by: Corey Lof|SubHeading|||
Kenny and Rose are very close; to the point that everyone at school assumes they’re a couple, much to their annoyance. Kenny is always bursting with energy (probably a touch of ADHD!). School takes second priority to having fun. Girls and girl-politics are a total mystery to him, not from a lack of trying.

||Angela|Heading|||
||female, age 35-40|SubHeading|||
||played by: Kelly-Marie Murtha|SubHeading|||
A people-person with bubbly personality. She doesn’t hold back much.
