Her recent turmoil over this issue, and her reluctance to talk about it (contrary to their usual open communication) is tearing him up.

Kenny and Rose are very close; to the point that everyone at school assumes they’re a couple, much to their annoyance. Kenny is always bursting with energy (probably a touch of ADHD!). School takes second priority to having fun. Girls and girl-politics are a total mystery to him, not from a lack of trying.
