I do have a gaydar for men, but for women i’m not that good. I felt my brother in law was gay before he came out to his mom, but I keep getting crush on straight girls so that’s not a perfect thing!
I thing the most important thing is to keep the feeling as a possibility and not make it a certitude. You can’t know the sexual orientation of a person better than herself. But sometime people insist that they’re sure this person is gay even if she says she’s not.
Actually, I think I have a pretty good gaydar, but I don’t really think so much of it. Well, when I see a guy who seems too nice, I may suspect something. However, the other way, it seems like others have some sort of gaydar that picks up me. I mean, when guys seem to be flirting with me… they either take a chance, or they have some sort of gaydar.
btw… I forgot to add. I’m not in the closet, but I’m not up speaking.
The difference that makes me not in the closet is that I’m not afraid if people find out. I don’t even care what people think.
I just see it as natural. If people find out and wonder why I haven’t been open about it, I’m just going to be like “What is there to be open about? I’ve never pretended to be straight. I’m just myself. Beside, you didn’t ask”.
Finally watching these video diaries, and while several have made me sad or angry, this one made me chuckle. Yes. Rose, the barista is into you. 😉
As for Gaydar, mine isn’t too bad. I pick up on stuff a fair bit of the time, but one thing I’m not great at is picking out gays and lesbians who have been in the closet for a long time. Some people are just really uptight and private, but I often wonder if they’re not hiding from themselves as well as everyone else, visa their true orientation. That one can be a hard nut to crack.

I do have an amazing gaydar… when I’m being objective. I have already realised some of the people I knew were gay before they even told me (or anyone), but when I like a girl… I’m unable to tell gay from straight LOL

A gaydar is a “gay radar”. It means that you are able to perceive if someone is gay nor not.

So i don’t think a gaydar exist, by some gay people you can see, that they are gay, but also they are many people who are gay and you can’t see it.
And it gives people who are straight and look gay. So everything exist, but i don’t think that you can really have a gaydar. By some people you see it by others you can’t see it. I don’t think i look like a lesbian, if there is even a stereotyp. I mean how does a gay one looks? I can’t say that.
I guess I have gaydar, but it doesn’t work when it’s about girls I’m interesting in or when girls are flirting with me. It’s so strange. But I guess it’s because I’m a little bit shy talking about relashionships. My best friend is not gay but has a incredible gaydar, she’s never wrong. Sometimes even when I’m not realise some interesting girl is gay she notice before me.

Thinking back on my life, I believe there were some times when guys were flirting with me, but I didn’t realize it at the time. Actually, I’m sure there were some times when girls were flirting and I didn’t figure it out when it was happening. I guess I don’t have gay or straight -dar. Typically I’m just clueless.
