This little episode got me thinking. Very well done, Jason and Lindsey and co. Here’s my commentary: https://fedscomic.blogspot.com/2016/02/review-starrting-out-again-counselling.html
Beautifully acted by Lindsey.
COMO ASSIM “não é importante”? E a Rose? Você ama a Rose.
Hi Marcelo,
a lot of us wish of course that Rose and Vanessa will have an happy ending. But you gotta understand that Out with Dad isn’t only the story of Rose and Vanessa, it is also the story of Rose AND the story of Vanessa. Many people , including me, relate to Vanessa and her struggles, and that’s why it’s important to tell her story, even if that means we have to wait a bit longer for the happy ending.
Rose was not important to her? I tough they were like best friends and a bit more…
I think that’s just Vanessa blocking her out, because it’s too painful to think about the person she loves
Lindsey owns every second of this episode – great job guys, you all deserve the best.
I really love how Vanessa has grown from the first Counselling Vanessa, and how it’s important for the fans see what she had to deal with her mom, her thoughts, with everything. Some questions were finally answered! It’s hard to imagine how her own mom could mess her up like that, but it happens (unfortunately). I’m excited for the next one, and I’m hopping she finds happiness and how to deal/teach her mom to be more supportive.
Ps: Lindsey is nailing it! And Jason is too!!! <3
I CANNOT IMAGINE WHICH IS THE ADVANTAGE OF FILMING SISTER SERIES OF OUT WITH DAD?.WHAT IS THIS A WARM UP AND A TRAINING OF VANESSA TO ACT IN OUT WITH DAD?.IS OUT WITH DAD A SOCCER TEAM?.I USED TO BE EXTREMELY IMAGINATIVE BUT THIS FILMING SURPASSES MY WEIRDERST IMAGINATIONS.I SIMPLY CANT FIND WHICH IS THE GOAL OF ALL THIS AND THE HAPPY DAYS.CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN ME?
Hi, Marcelo! Have you been watchin’ Out With Dad? You probably have noticed that the last season finale left us with lot of hope, but when Out With Dad came back with season 4 didn’t mention exactly what happened to Rose and Vanessa after that kiss. Of course that Rose has her own made “it up” version, but the only one that can tell us what really happened is Vanessa. So that’s what this is about. Hope it helps. 🙂
DEAR LARISSA:I WAS CONVINCEDTHAT AFTER THAT KISS WE WERE GOING TO WATCH THE UNFOLDING OF BOTH GIRLS FEELINGS IN THE SEASON 4 AND I THOUGHT THAT A NATURAL OUTCOME WOULD HAVE BEEN TO WATCH A BIG EPISODE AT THE END OF THE SEASON DEALING WITH THEIR WEDDING.BUT MR.JASON LEAVER (A.K.A. THE DIRECTOR) HAS THE PASSION OF MIXING THINGS UP SO HE BROUGHT ALL THIS COUNSELING,HE BROUGHT OTHER GIRLS AS CLAIRE AND THE STORY IS GETTING NEEDLESSLY COMPLICATED AND WE WILLHAVE TO WAIT MORE THAN A YEAR TO SEE ROSE AND VANESSA IN THE SAME EPISODE OF OUT WITH DAD.MR.LEAVER IS PLAYING WITH OUR PATIENCE AND OUR GOODWILL AS VIEWERS.SORRY TO SAY THIS.
The conclusion you’re envisioning with Rose and Vanessa getting married is a classic storybook ending. I don’t mean that in a pejorative manner toward you. Perhaps Jason is trying to illustrate that life isn’t that easy for everyone. Life presents its challenges and things don’t always turn out the way we may like them to turn out.
This isn’t a fairy tale with a happy ever after. This is supposed to illustrate something real.
Ungrateful much?!! You want a wedding,— and then what? Jason is too nice to say this so I will: Your whiny, petulant yelling when you don’t get your own way makes you sound like a 2-year-old who can type. This story is not “needlessly complicated”. It’s a story, and a TV series isn’t like a film that is done in 2 hours or less. A TV series allows us to watch the characters develop, to see them grow & change over time, and b/c we have short & infrequent eps, we haven’t even seen much of that so far. So there is a LOT of story left to tell, and it may not end the way you want it to end. Maybe you should get interested in something else if you are so unappreciative of the story these folks are providing you FOR FREE!!! Do what I do when I’m not sure I trust the writers: Stop watching. Come back a year later and check on where the story is and decide if you want to get back into it. Jason is not forcing you to watch this story in real time!
Hi Marcelo,
I know it has gotten more complicated than it was supposed to. And believe me I understand… But in my personal opinion, I have a huge doubt that it will be warm and fuzzy after the 3rd season finale. Here are my thoughts:
1.) Vanessa just came back, after running away and living on some gangster’s/addict house, and most importantly, was almost raped. Therefore, a possible emotional and psychological trauma should occur. Not to mention that she has a homophobic+psychotic mom to deal with.
2.) Claire.
Vanessa loves Rose, that we know, but Claire being in the picture and her just doing something out of her character (forgot that the other one was taken) kinda take a hit.
3.) Rose was as confused before as she is recently…
4.) I really believe that season 3’s finale was more of a burst of uncontrolled emotion than truly wanting to be together.
5.) The OutWithDad funding is, without a doubt, quite low, and only been going around due to few supportive people… I thought it was the end… them boom… time jump! =)
