When we last saw Vanessa, all the colour in her life has drained away and she chose to leave home. She hits the streets without a plan. Toronto is a big place, a place big enough to disappear, and be alone – if that’s what she chooses.
This is the first episode of Vanessa’s Story, the spin-off of Out With Dad shot in secret while filming the rest of season three. Vanessa’s Story episodes run in parallel to Out With Dad‘s episodes.

Hey! I don’t think it’s fair that people in France have to wait longer than others to watch the new episodes, especially if our public TV is funding the show ! That said, I really like the show so keep up the good work !
For those of you in France or any other country where these latest episodes are not available…..try the onion route (TOR). Go to TOR’s website, read up on it, then go to youtube and find out how to download and use it. You can then access these episodes. The web will recognize your pc as originating from another country. Once you’re set up and know what’s going on, it’s actually quite quick and easy. Good luck!

Great episode and I really liked the biphobia I’ve been told for years that I’m just gay or I’ll figure out what I actually am soon enough and I’ve never related so much to a character than I do with Vanessa it’s really validating seeing this show just don’t hurt poor Vanessa any more kay

wow. Great episode! Thanks for tackling another angle of coming out. It’s not always smooth for young people to come out and sometimes involves a lot of heartbreak. I had to leave my christian school and many of my friends to come out. This show means so much for me. It inspired me to come out. I remember when I was terrified to attend 1 pflag meeting. Now I am out to the world! There was so much heartbreak and hurt but it was so worth it.
Kind of worried about how things will go with Vanessa. Her new ‘friends’ seem sketchy. Especially that Marco guy. He seems like the kind of guy who would antaginize someone then play the victim when they eventually blow up on him. Or maybe his remark on how being bi is only a transition phase just annoys me so much to the point that I just really dislike him. Tracy, while taciturn, seems like she’d be Vanessa’s most likely ally in that group. As to the last scene. Wow. I really don’t see that marriage lasting much longer, even if Vanessa does return home. Her father seems like he’s had enough of his wife’s bigoted ways. Can’t wait until the next episode!

Poor Vanessa is way out of her comfort zone. The group she has met look as though they will either rob her or take care of her at least she is off the streets so that’s a good thing. Thanks for making this it’s a hard topic but so relevant. The reation that young kids get from their family is all too important, it was obv. Vanessa’s parents where never going to be all ‘yeah!! ranbow flag!!’ about it. Hope she stays safe & is able to go back soon.
Maybe she will find her older brother and they both come back.
Interesting start of the story. It seems like Erica has something against Marco. Maybe she’s bi, and dislikes Marco for saying that it’s just a transition.
