A difficult time for the LeMay family. Vanessa and her younger brother, Jacob, sit upon the steps as they listen in on their parents fighting. Jacob fears he might loose another sibling to something he doesn’t understand, and Vanessa realizes what is truly important to her.

I congratulate the episodes actually I’m living the same thing but the bad esque rose I have doubts if the person you love also loves me but shows me sometimes abrasive or Nose … I could not live without it just that she does not know and it’s hard to tell me I have fear rejection … looking seriously its episodes wauuuu now I can not sleep I dream vanessa seems very nice I love her look say with good intentions I think I like it very beautiful and if you must realize that you really love a rose because the kiss <3 Lindsey's are a beautiful woman and I hope to meet someday lol I'm from peru

Wow…truly loved this minisode. Honestly one of my favorites. I love this webseries. I can really connect to the events happening especially with Vanessa. My parents are super religious & I came out 7 years ago…but some things happened (started going to church & such) which made my parents believe I had become “normal”. I can’t change who I am or who I love. So basically I was pushed back in the closet. This series has really helped me to realize it is perfectly okay to be who I am. Thank you so much!!!
auch! That hurt. “Before you realize you can’t”, man, if she can stand for that being 15, she is more of a grown-up than many people over 10 years older. I’m just hoping we can see some honesty between Rose and Vanessa without parents messing things up. The (painfully short, as usual) script was amazing. That “I don’t have to… I’ll ignore it.” is still bouncing in my head. This was more than a déjà vu…
GREAT acting! Lindsey: “chapó” (which I just learned is a word we borrowed from a French billiards game to express admiration). Your character has a long way to go to gain my respect, but you certainly got me in this one.
Oh! And wonderful music to wrap up; really moving. It felt part of the chapter.
Congratulations again to everybody. Can’t wait for the first of September!

If I may point out that in the Dutch subtitles there’s an important error.
Where Vanessa says: “If you can help it ..don’t” is translated as “Als je het kan voorkomen…doen” (“If you can help it…do”). So quite the opposite 😉
It should be: “Als je het kan voorkomen…niet doen”

I love how Vanessa basically said she loved Rose. I was like OMG!!! AWWWW!!! Tbh, i thought she would never admit it to herself. This episode was short, but it had so much amazing things to feed us. Thanks for putting us toward Vanessas feelings in this episode, because we’ve been getting Rose’s feelings clear in every episode shes in, but theirs 2 in the relationship and Vanessa’s feelings count too. Keep them coming! Cant wait for Sept 1!

And I loved her sudden realisation and her little brother´s personality and kind of support.

Such a great episode, so heart wrenching. It’s hard enough to not be accepted by classmates and peers, but imagine feeling that same disapproval for who you are from your parent.
It’s a punch to the heart. Amazing.
This is such an awesome web series, definately my favourite. This episode, even though it was so short, is probably my favourite to date because almost this exact thing happened to me, only my brother was older and he understood and stood up for me. Thanks so much, it was so realistic and Lindsey’s acting was simply amazing! (And for the love of god Vanessa! Now you’ve finally realised it go and tell Rose you love her!!!) 😀

Hi there! huge fan here!! ( the one with the crush on Rose XD… or Kate on this matter je je… I think she’s gorgeus je je…) but anyway touching minisode this one :/… I feel so sorry for Vanessa, It’s not easy to accept for the first time that you actually love somebody you are not supposed to… that same thing happened to me… I just hope she thinks things trough… you cannot scape from love… and for her parents well, in my case I haven’t even come out onto anyone of them : S just my brother and he’s really supportive, so I hope also that her little brother stands up for her.

A wonderful and emotional episode, as always. Great acting.
However, I found the background noise of the parents’ argument kinda distracting. I had to switch on subtitles to understand the convo between Vanessa and Jacob.
I’d also like to point out a little mistake. Hope you don’t mind. In terms of German subtitles, you can either say “Deutsch” (German), “deutsche Sprache” (German language) or “deutsche Untertitel” (German subtitles). Using “Deutsche” without a noun is incorrect.

It’s nice to finally get to see Vanessa’s point of view and to see her struggle with her sexuality and her feelings for Rose. Also, to see the full impact that her mother has on her struggles.
I think this episode was amazing. We caught a glimpse of Vanessa’s life and it really makes you understand more of her point of view. Great episode.
WOW! It is another terrific episode with many emotional feelings. I watch it over and over again. It seems to me that Vanessa’s mom is not as strong as she pretends to be. She seems to be pretty insecure.
From episode to episode I like Vanessa more and more. At this moment she finally has taken off her mask. I hope she can continue to do so in front of her parents and especially in front of Rose.
It’s great how little things can express something. When Vanessa explains that she is falling in love, it is the silence, which emphasizes that it is now pronounced like “Boouummm now it is said!“
By the way it seems as if Lindsey (as well as Kate) is not acting a role – she IS the role!

Oh wow. Oh wow, oh wow, oh wow. That was short, but oh my gosh, you could not have possibly packed anything more in to it, it was so full!
We really got to see Vanessa laid bare; revealing her emotions for that one moment before she tried to cover it all up again, but it was done, we saw it. The way she said “three years less of falling in love” and then suddenly realised what she’d said, what she felt. Then making herself try to cover it back up again, almost as though trying to pretend she’d never said it, never admitted how she felt. But she couldn’t. It was one time that Vanessa couldn’t cover everything up again.
I really thought this was fantastic; we got a glimpse of Vanessa’s life when she’s not at school or not with Rose, and we got to see just how much her world is crashing around her. From here on out, I think people are going to have a much more sympathetic reaction to Vanessa if she does mean stuff again.
Well done, really, really well done.

This was really well done. While I have lived with religion, it was never this bad until this last week before university. Apparently my dad hates gays while my mom doesn’t. Hearing him say it ripped my heart out and made me bite my tongue. I wanted to tell them before uni but I just couldn’t bring myself to. Back on point, my ex-girlfriend had to deal with this sort of crap when her brother found out we were dating and the only thing he said, “it’s different because you’re my sister. You can’t be gay.”
It’s nice to see how all of this is from Vanessa’s point-of-view. It’s very real and really tugged at my heart. All I want to do is give her a hug and tell her that it’ll all be okay. Excellent work, as per usual.
