Last week Kate, Lindsey and producer Eric and I were guests on the The Nat & Marie Show. They were a delight to visit with!
We talk about the origins of the story, the reactions from the audience and how you guys shape the story and some other fun stories.
Big thanks to the whole gang behind the scenes for being such great hosts!
Our segment on the show begins around 44 minutes into it:

Watched your part of the Nate and Marie interview….love Eric’s hair by the way….and I must say that both Lindsey and Kate were great.
It was also interesting to hear production from a different voice than Jason’s so all in all this was a great view.
Thanks for sharing this with us!
Yea, some people often forget that it’s a show and it’s not real. They are actors and their characters are fictional. I know that an actor is often unlike the role. Vanessa’s mom is a person I really don’t like, but the actor might be a nice person. You just don’t get to know the real person, but instead the character they play. And some people need to play bad persons for the case of the show.
And by watching some of web series going on, I feel like it would be really cool to be an actor. To be allowed to play someone else than yourself at a specific time. Now I’m not an actor by education, but to just be able to push your own life to the side and be someone else. I have done some roleplay and I think it’s great. I felt like I could act all cool and serious acting like I was some kind of senior ready for going of my business. The sad thing is that a lot of people always were a mask pretending to be something they are not. Acting is just something you’re supposed to do in a show.
i’ve been watching this show since day one. i heard about it on afterellen.com š
that was before i was out to my parents and still having intense self loathing issues. my parents are the uber christian type as well. anyway, i cant say that this show is the reason i came out to my parents or anything, but it has certainly been a major solace. to convince myself that i am not a freak or a sinner, i watch all kinds of lesbian movies. this is definetly my favorite series and i can always look forward to the next episode even after two years. i love rose and claire and all the different perspectives that get addressed in the show. point is, thanks for what you do. really.
Really great interview. It’s so lovely to see you all talking about OWD and hopefully reaching more people.
I absolutely did NOT realise that Morgan was trans when I watched ‘Out With PFLAG Part 1’. It was a shock when I heard Jason say that on the radio show with Will a few weeks ago. He looks awesome.
I am so looking forward to the next episode, and to see what Vanessa says when she sees Rose and Claire together..!! I am also looking forward to seeing more of Vanessa’s story and how she deals with being set up with the boy from Church, and what else her Mum is going to throw at her. Which leads me to say, WE LOVE YOU, VANESSA!!!
My love for this show, cast and crew just keeps growing. Xxx
well said about the comments!. It’s a show, people does not really need to use that kind of language. maybe when we are not agree if vanessa can’t be with her(rose), let’s take it as something that may happens in reality anyway
Greetings awesome show keep up!
