Happy New Year to our friends and loyal guests! We hope that your holiday was wonderful and that your 2011 is off to a great start. Unfortunately, at Encore we cannot say that either of these statements are true of our circumstances. Our company has been suffering from some severe financial distress over the past few months and we are struggling to survive.
Why am I raising such a gloomy topic with you? It is simple; our success is in your hands… our guests! It does not take an MBA to realize that businesses succeed when their revenues exceed their expenses and you, loyal guest, are our revenue base. So, if ever you wanted to spend some time at the movies… this is the time! The next few weeks are going to be crucial for Encore as we struggle to deal with the issues that face us.
We have enjoyed serving you for the past twelve years and we hope to be at your service for many years to come, but we are at a serious crossroads that will either result in us becoming stronger and carrying on, or Encore becoming another casualty of the economy.
How can you help?
Get your friends and family together and have a night out at the movies this weekend!
Buy gift cards! Pre-paying admission and concession revenue by buying an Encore Film Card would help a great deal as we
ll. In fact, to add an incentive, it you buy a Film Card this weekend, we will give you a free double pass for each $100 you put on a card (an up to $16 value – ask for a manager at either location for more information).
