Yea, I understand that it may be difficult to act with motions that you don’t really feel on set, but instead of trying to act like it, I would probably start thinking of something that makes me feel the way I’m supposed to feel. If I’m going to act sad, I would definitly think of something that makes me sad. Maybe even listen to some sad songs before I would go on set just to kind of get in the mood for the act. And if I’m going to play angry, I would think of something that really pisses me of, then it would probably feel easier for me and it would look more natural.
I think you all act great however. Still, I think Will at some times does sound a bit like a dictionary. Especially in the episode where Rose comes out Nathan. He babbles on like he’s a living enclopedia wannabe or something. I don’t know. It may be just the script that makes his character a bit strange. Like he’s trying to go through all the phases of learning his child is gay at a very short time š
Haha, my favourite is actually in the episode when she comes out to her dad. That whole dinner scene with her imaginary self was priceless and so accurate. I remember being in almost that exactly situation with my mum with the same thoughts running through my head.
Haha, Steven, “Out with Kenny” is my fave, but for a different reason; the whole scene where she’s coming out to Kenny… “stop making this about you, you douchebag!” I love it.
I’ll comment! My favorite performance by Kate is in āThe Museum Outingā. Youāre maybe thinking Iām saying that because itās the most recent episode and itās on my mind, but I just think it shows a lot of different things about how Kate portrays Rose. Fore example, the relationship with Kenny, her shyness, and the interactions with Claire, much of which is done without dialogue. However, my favorite single line of Kateās is in āOut with Kennyā at the end when sheās practicing telling her dad and she says āWell, you know how Vanessa and me have been getting really close latelyā¦ā The delivery is great!
